Happy Australia Day. Spent a good part of the day with Andrew's family. We had a birthday celebration for his Dad. Was a great day with good food. This is me and my 2 sister-in-laws, Debbie and Susie. I think it's a pretty good shot for a self-taken one.

We went for a walk down to our local park today. Has quite a big lake/wetlands area. Joel loves going down there and checking out/chasing the ducks.

Today was a great day. Joel and I went swimming at the local pool with Bron and Jenson. Then in the afternoon, Andrew and I dropped Joel off at his parent's house and we went off to the new Doncaster Shopping Centre for a couple of hours BY OURSELVES!! It was great. We browsed (yes people browsed!!!) shops, checked out all the new stuff and even sat down for chillers at Gloria Jeans. It was great.

Worked down near the beach again today. Left home early so I could sit by the beach with a coffee and do my devotions. It was awesome.
Forgot to take my camera down so this was taken with my phone camera. At least it's still photo for today.

Was grocery shopping day today. Bakers Delight is always our first stop - so Joel can get a Cheesymite Scroll to munch while mama does the shopping. Always nice to have a happy boy when at the shops!

Is pretty hot here today so Joel and I went to an indoor (and air conditioned) playground for a play with a friend, Jenson. Joel LOVES LOVES LOVES the ball pit and we had a great time in their together. The photo is a bit blurry and not the best, but I still love it.

We had a BBQ tea at some friends house tonight and Joel had his first ice-cream. I don't think he was too sure - but he seemed to enjoy it (although the cold was a factor I think)

We spent some time in the garden today. We are turning our big fish pond into a sandpit for Joel as it's not super safe to have all that water near his play area. Joel loves to help Daddy with the wheelbarrow.

Joel got a pirate ship tent for Christmas and we spent most of Friday playing in it. It's lots of fun running in and out of the ship.

Spent most of the day with Andrew's sister Debbie and her daughter Jessie. Joel LOVES Jessie and Jessie is such a sweetheart with him. She plays with him and chases him. It's so fun to watch.

We had a couple of hot days so we got the good old blue shell pool out and Joel had a great time splashing around under a tree in our backyard.
For those who are concerned regarding the water saving issue, Joel didn't have a bath that night and we bucketed out the water and watered a few trees!

Spent the evening at my sister Beth's new apartment. She cooked tea for all of us. She has a lovely little balcony and a huge hammock on it. Sadie and Joel had lots of fun, swinging in it together.

Two photos today
Joel used to be so scared of balls. He'd totally freak out. But now he's gone the other extreme and just loves them. We found this beach ball in the garage and blew up for him to play around with in the backyard. He loved chasing it around as we threw it back and forth.

Joel loves loves kissing and especially kissing babies. He loves to kiss his cousin Sadie but he found a new kissing buddy today. Nathan. Cutie hey.
Excuse the "flashy" photo but the two of them wouldn't sit still. If anyone knows how to make a photo less flashy I would love to know.

Today Joel had his first ever haircut. He did so well and didn't cry or anything. He looked like such a big boy in the chair with the apron on. The photo below is an after haircut shot!!

I cheated a little today - couldn't pick just one so i made 3 into 1!
I worked down near the beach today but my client was out when I got there so I had an hour to kill before I went back. Walked up to the shops, bought a Chai Latte, walked 5 mins down to the beach. Not the prettiest beach in the world and not the best beach weather but it was still awesome, walking on the sand, checking out rock pools. I felt like a little kid.

Spent the day cleaning at my other sister's house. We had an extremely cute distraction in Sadie. She is such a little sweetheart. I'm really going to miss those guys.

Joel and I went to check out my little sisters new apartment now that all the stuff is unpacked and that. It's very cute. On the way Joel cracked the sads in the car and this is a surefire way to keep him entertained - he hasn't managed to accidentally ring anyone yet

I have a new (well she's pretty old) blogging companion. Her name is Molly. She is our family cat that was living with Mum and Dad and then they moved. So she lived with my sisters and now they've moved. So she's come to stay with us. She loves nothing better than to sit on the desk while we are in the office. She's a total sweetheart. Andrew is not much of a cat person but Molly is totally winning him over!! Ha ha ha!

Day 2 - Joel LOVES strawberries so we buy a couple of punnets a week (which can get expensive) so we found a strawberry farm near us that sells 3 punnets for $5 (BARGAIN!!) So every week we go to the farm to get strawberries. Here is the truck from the fields, stacked with strawberries - YUM!!

Just wanted to share about another challenge I am hoping to undertake this year. It's called Project 365. Taking a photo a day for a whole year. I know I know sounds a little bit too hard but I thought I'd at least give it a go. They will be posted here as well as my Flickr site (in the sidebar)
So Day 1 or Project 365 and I have taken at least 1 photo so that's a good start. Here it is....
It's not a perfect picture or anything but it documents what a bit of what we did today.
