Today was just one of those days. Joel whingy all day (mum getting grumpy!) We wrote today off as a bad day for all.
Can't keep up - too much going on at the moment.

Playgroup again today. Joel was excited to have his little girlfriend Tilly back after her big holiday. They are so drawn to each other. Tilly snatched a smooch with Joel on top of the slide then Joel was waiting at the bottom for her to give her one back. Ahhh young love.

A weekly (sometimes more) tradition here is to Skype my mum and dad. They love chatting away and seeing Joel as does he. He loves kissing the screen and gibbering away at them. I love it too

Today was the hottest day on record in Melbourne and also our most tragic. Bushfires raged out of control all over the State. A lot of them are not too far from us (around 25-40 minutes away) and have totally devastated towns and communities. At the time of typing (Wed 11th) there were 181 people dead. That is unbelievable sad.
There are just no words to sum up how overwhelming this is. Such a tragic tragic day.
I didn't take any photos today but have found a couple on the net. One is of Marysville - a little town about 1/2 hour away from us. There is absolutely nothing left!!
My thoughts and prayers are with all those involved and affected.

All I can say is like father, like son. Joel likes to hold the remote when he is watching TV!

Have had this salad for lunch the last couple of days. It is so yummy. BBQ chicken, some roasted pumpkin, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, avocado, mushrooms, red capsicum and some fetta cheese all drizzled with some balsamic vinegar. SO YUMMY!

Still warm here today. Spent time playing together in Joel's room. Joel spent most of the day in just his nappy!

First playgroup for the year today. Joel has finally mastered the slide. Can get up the stairs and go down all by himself. He loves it.

Joel loves flowers. He nicked this rose out of the church display today and spent lots of time smelling it. Can you say CUTE!!

I have a slight obsession with recipe books. This is only half of them. Do I use them - sometimes. LOL!!

Still a hot day today. Lots of playing inside and watching our fave DVDs. Current faves for Joel are Thomas and Friends, I Like to Sing by Justine Clarke and In the Night Garden.

It was hot hot hot here today - 43 degrees. That means another dip outside in Joel's pool. He loves it.

We had a little family tea for my Stuart - Beth's boyfriend. I made a little cupcake cake for him. Joel loves Stuart and wanted to sit on his knee while he blew the candles out.
