A photo a day in 2009
We had a teddy bear's picnic at playgroup today. Was lots of fun. They kids ate heaps and made teddy bear masks as well. Joel loved his.
Went and checked out the Mooroolbark Miniature Railway which isn't too far from our house. Joel and I had a couple of rides.
We went out for breakfast with Aunty Beth this morning while daddy was at church camp. We went to The Firehouse in Ringwood. Yummo!
Tilly came to stay for the day today. The two of them had great fun together. Here they are in the office, laughing at something (who knows what? LOL)
Joel and I spent some time outside today, laying under a tree in our backyard. It was a beautiful day and this was our view.
Cheeky monkey grabbed the corn thins container off the bench and I caught him eating them in the office.
Had a Spinks family lunch at our house today, to celebrate Andrew's and his mum's birthday. We also had family friends, the Christelow's there - celebrated Cathy's birthday too!
Joel and I went out for morning tea with Beth. We went to Hahndorfs Chocolate cafe. Joel even had some of my chocolate milkshake. He loved it.
Joel and I went down to the library today to read some books and then borrow some. He loves books.
BUSTED!! Playing with Molly's food and water. It's lots of fun putting the dry food into the water!
Finally feeling better today so we took Joel to the zoo for the very first time. He was a little unsure at first but by the end of the morning, he was loving it. The elephants were his favourite (mine too)
Andrew bought some sand and filled out old fishpond to make a sandpit. Joel loves it.
I was pretty sick today - had a nice bout of gastro, and Joel had a nasty cough. So we spent most of the day lying in bed together, watching Thomas DVDs. He was such a good little nurse to me. Excuse the double chin - I really need master Photoshop and give myself a digi touch-up.
Another slide shot but I really love this photo. Don't know why. Just do. It makes me wonder what he is thinking
We have ditched the nappy bag and Joel has a new Thomas bag. He loves it. We put on his back the other day - was a little heavy but he looked so old. Crappy blurry photo but you get the drift.
Joel asleep in our bed this morning. We've had a bad few nights, with him ending up sleeping with us. But seriously, he looks so cute.
Joel took this photo of Mum and Dad when we were Skyping with them - they're in the dressing gowns!! Ha ha ha! It was early morning for them.
We had Tilly and Jenson over for a play today and they had a ball together outside.
A new favourite in our house is Matchbox cars. They can be found in all sorts of places. Joel is quite a fan of the passageway at the moment. Nice and echoey for noises and good floors for wheels to roll on.
So I am still keeping up with the photo a day but Blogger has not been co-operating with me when I get around to loading photos.
I will endeavour to get more up later today or tomorrow.
Another outdoor fave - his bike. This is also an indoor fave as well. He gets so fast on the thing.
This is Joel's first attempt at taking a photo. I think he did extremely well for a 19 month old. Just ignore the average model!
We bought a little slide for Joel last week on eBay and we picked it up today. He loves it so much.
He is such an outside boy.
Joel has discovered that he can climb up on top of the couch. He's also discovered that Mummy and Daddy don't like it when he does!
The radio in my car is permanently on 89.9 - Light FM. This is the Christian radio station here in Melbourne.
One exception is if I'm ever in the car between 4-6 on weekdays then it's tuned into Hamish and Andy on the Fox.
This is my first LO for the year. And the only pic I took today - but it's a photo all the same!!
This was the sunrise this morning - this photo does not do the sun justice - it was a brilliant red. And the smoke haze was thick. Just more signs of the fire threat not too far from here.
This is a very common view of Joel at the moment - his back. He's always running off ahead, busy busy busy all the time.
One of Joel's fave little hidey holes - behind the curtains in his bedroom. Also the perfect place to drive cars up and down on the window sill.
Joel loves trains at the moment and in particular Thomas. We found this bag of tracks and trains at a second hand kids shop in The Basin and we've all been loving setting them up and letting the trains (they're battery operated) do circuits of the track.
This is what happened to most of our plants this week after the hot hot 40 degree days.
The garden looks ever so dry and sad.
